Workwear For Mainstreet

by Creativity Writer

Possibly the most popular brand of clothing with roots in the work wear category is the Dickies® line, whose trademark yellow and red horseshoe logo can be seen on the front of T-shirts, hoodie jackets, and even on traditional sign painters jackets being worn by today’s young, hip, high-street fashionistas.

How did workwear get so hip?  Well, it’s a combination of a desire by the younger set for clothing that’s been stripped of fancy in-your-face labels and a need to be functional at the same time.

One of the country’s oldest workwear manufacturers is Carhartt, perhaps not as well known for hipster-looks on the street as they are for their stable of flame resistant clothing and of course their famous Carhartt coats.  Nonetheless, the line is as functional as it gets and, although the company has been providing outfitting ranchers and industrial industry workers for years, their jeans, shirts and accessories, including a full-line for women, are pretty darn stylish.

Like Dickies®, this workwear manufacturer’s also got a full line of kids clothing too, which includes hoodies, pants, T-shirts and cold-weather socks and hats.
